At the end of April we attended the Naidex exhibition - an event that takes place at the NEC in Birmingham, to assist our supplier Isagi on their stand.

We loved going to Naidex, its one of the largest mobility shows in the UK of its kind, open to both the general public and trade customers. It’s always a hectic show, but gives us the rare opportunity to talk to lots of people who have a real need for anti-slip materials in their lives. It’s also particularly nice to hear how they use the fabrics, as many customers who we have met at previous shows, go every year to stock up and find out what’s new. So we get first hand explanations of what they use the materials for, and how they perform in all the different situations.

So what were the most popular buys at the exhibition? The Anti-Slip trays were extremely popular and racing off the shelves, wheelchair users really liked the small tray as they fit neatly on your lap within the arm rests of a wheelchair. They are also anti slip on the top and underneath, but still comfortable on your legs. Click on the picture below to take you to the page.

The Bath & Shower mats also went down well, as people got the opportunity to feel them rather than view them on a computer screen. Mobility users generally prefer a lightweight mat that is soft and spongy, as many users have sensitive feet and a rubber mat is just too hard. They also liked the fact that they are antimicrobial, BS8445:2012 standard and are usually surprised when we tell them they are machine washable. Click on the picture below to take you to the page.

And of course the ever popular anti slip tablemats were a must buy! They are just so colourful and versatile, from the dining table, to a wheelchair fitted tray, they simply do the job of stopping stuff slipping or sliding around. Click on the picture below to take you to the page.
