The Asana ECO PER® & Natural Jute Yoga Mat offers an eco friendly mat with all the benefits of a standard non-slip Yoga mat. The Natural Jute surface absorbs more moisture than a standard yoga mat surface, the mats static free breathability and high tensile non-slip strength ensure perfect balance and a firm foot grip.
The Jute fibres are from a sustainable resource and are biodegradable. The cushioned underside of the Jute mat is a 4mm depth, which is the most popular thickness for general exercise, it is made from a new non toxic resin called PER® (Polymer Environmental Resin) which has been tested against harmful substances and meets Oeko-Tex Standard 100-Product Class 1 (for baby articles). Free of latex and rubber, odour free and does not emit any toxic chemicals or gases.

WEARING IN YOUR YOGA MAT At first you may find that the mat is a little slippery. This is due to the manufacturer's surface 'finish' on all mats. It soon wears off. You may want to wash your mat to speed up the process to wear your mat in.
CLEANING YOUR YOGA MAT The Yoga mat is machine washable at a low temperature (no more than 30°C) using a very small amount of washing detergent or you can wipe them down with a damp cloth and a little Tea Tree oil diluted in water or Lemon Juice diluted in water. DO NOT tumble dry or put on a radiator to dry off. Allow lots of time to air dry and avoid folding or using your mat until it is completely dry, as this may shorten its life.
