StayPut Non slip fleece rug underlay is specifically designed to stop rugs creeping or sliding when laid on carpet.
The fleece fabric holds the rug in place without adhesive and without damaging the rug or the carpet.
When you receive the fleece it has a cellophane cover on both sides for protection, as the fleece does feel sticky, but this is not an adhesive coating. The sticky feel is produced during the manufacturing process, and even after washing, the material retains this strange quality.
To lay the underlay, first trim as needed you ideally want the fleece to be approx 5-10cm within the edge of the rug, and the cellophane allows you to cut with scissors to the right size before you put it in position. Peel off one side of the cellophane and position the fleece on the carpet, sticky side down. Peel back the top cellophane and lay the rug on top.
We recommend that the fleece is lifted and washed every few months in a max 30 degree wash to remove any dust or bits that have accrued, and left to dry naturally, before relaying in position.
Whilst we have pre-cut packs, which will fit most rug sizes, for other sizes we can cut the underlay from a 59"/150cm width bulk roll 'By the Metre' or any multiple i.e. 59"/150cm x 2mtrs or 59"/150cm x 3mtrs etc. etc. just put the number of metres you need in the Qty box above. You will receive the underlay as one continous piece.

Please note: Attempting to lay a rug with just strips or corner areas of the rug laid on the fleece underlay will not prevent the rug from moving, the whole of the underside area needs to be in contact with the fleece. Whilst this fleece works extremely well with most rugs and on most carpets, it is not suitable as an underlay for a rug or runner that is an offcut from a carpet, as the backing is quite different to a rug backing.

Rating Following our purchases made, we have fitted and trialled both the hard floor and carpet non slip material. It really works, no more folds in the rug or slides on the floor. This is brilliant. (Posted on 22/02/2012)
